Managing roles & permissions

Create and manage team roles, customize permissions, and control what each user can access in your Millenium Connect workspace.

About roles and permissions

Roles allow you to control the level of access each team member has within Millenium Connect.

Each role is made up of a set of permissions that define which actions and information are available to users assigned to that role.

For example, you can create different access levels for rental managers, cleaning staff, check-in agents, or other collaborators depending on their responsibilities.

Default roles

Millenium Connect includes several default roles designed for common team structures.

These roles are available immediately and can be assigned to team members when inviting them.

Default roles and their permissions are predefined and cannot be edited or deleted.

Creating a custom role

If the default roles do not match your workflow, you can create your own custom roles with specific permissions.

To create a custom role:

  1. Go to Settings → Team

  2. Open the Roles & Permissions tab

  3. Click Add role

  4. Enter a name for your role

  5. Select the permissions you want to enable

  6. Click Add role

You can choose permissions across different areas, such as:

  • Reservations

  • Guests & Messaging

  • Properties

  • Operations

  • Financials

  • Other workspace features

Managing permissions

When creating a custom role, you can decide exactly what users assigned to that role can do.

For example, you can allow a user to:

  • View reservations without being able to modify them

  • Access guest conversations without accessing financial information

  • Manage operational tasks without accessing business settings

This allows you to give each team member the access they need while keeping sensitive information protected.

Assigning roles to users

Once a role is created, you can assign it when adding a new team member or by editing an existing user.

The user's access will automatically update based on the permissions included in their assigned role.

Important notes

  • Default Millenium Connect roles cannot be modified or removed.

  • Custom roles can be edited or deleted when they are no longer needed.

  • Permissions only apply to users assigned to that role.

  • Review permissions carefully before assigning a role to ensure each team member has the appropriate access level.
